For deputation of officials to Postal Training Centre for training, number of seats allotted to each division were communicated and the divisions issued training memos to individuals, previously.
Nowadays, R.O asks for nominations and then issues training memos and send them by Registered post to each individual. (e.g PLI trainings)
Again, the divisions have to issue a separate training memo indicating the amount of advance of TA, deputation arrangement, if any etc., as R.O memo would not have these information.
In case of emergency (Medical reasons, Death of near relative etc), Divisions may have to make changes in the nomination.
What purpose does the R.O memo serve?
Is it not a waste of time, resource and manpower?
